As tryouts for the 2009/2010 season approach, the Board of Directors wanted to communicate the Michigan Jaguars Football Club’s focus on making things more manageable for the upcoming season due to the local economy.
1. The Jaguars are looking at limiting out of state travel for next season and utilizing relationships we have with other clubs to set up friendlies in place of some out of state events. We are still focused on providing the best competition we can, however very aware of the financial crunch that some of our families are in at the moment. Tournaments won’t go away, there will be fewer out of state and we will be more selective in our choice of events.
2. The Jaguar staff is working hard on our 1st Annual Golf Outing. All proceeds of the outing will go to enhance the Financial Assistance Fund. If you are interested in participating, please return to the home page for the application.
3. Financial Assistance Fund Applications for next season will be posted on the website May 15th and will be accepted until June 12th.
4. As always, we are open to your donations or ideas in ways to help build up our Financial Assistance Fund. Anyone interested please email mijaguars@aol.com.
5. We are setting up a special page on our website where jag families can advertise their businesses or employer’s businesses. Our hope is that jag families in need of services or products will seek other jag families, therefore bringing business to our "family". People who wish to advertise, please send your name, company logo, website link, and a brief company description to our Website Coordinator, Michelle McCabe, at michellemccabe@comcast.net.
