U17 Girls Green Win State Cup!
Congratulations to the U17 Girls Green team for beating the Michigan Gators in the State Cup Final in Overtime on October 17th to become 2010 Girls U17 MSYSA State Cup Champions. The girls earned a trip to the Midwest Regional Championship in Ohio June 26 through 30, 2010.
Also, congratulations to Courtney Harrison for being named MVP and Jenna O’Dell for being named Most Valuable Goalie.
Five Jaguars End 2009 with Inter-Regional Invite
Five Jaguars players concluded the ’09 season with invites to ODP Inter-Regional Events in Florida. Olivia Brannon and Jenna O’Dell (U17) represented the 1993 Region II team Nov 22-27. Jimmy Hague and Nate Mclean (U14) and Joey Tinnion (U16) were selected to represent the 1996 and 1994 Region II teams Nov 27-30 and Dec 26-30. The camp allowed each player an opportunity to compete against some of the nation’s top players in front of leading national and collegiate coaches. Tinnion’s performance led to him being named to the 1994 Region II roster that will travel to Italy Mar 27-Apr 6. Congrats to the players and good luck to them in future endeavors. Brannon Continues Quest for World Cup Roster Spot
Olivia Brannon continues her quest to secure a spot on the U17 Women’s World Cup Team. After her trip to the Inter-Regionals in Coral Springs, FL, Brannon was selected to the U17 National Team Roster for their trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina Dec 8-14. Brannon saw action in all four games, starting two, as the team swept their competition from Argentina and Uruguay. Olivia is with the U17 National Team in Sunrise, FL as they prepare for three matches against the U17 German National Team. Qualifying for the U17 World Cup takes place Mar 9-20 in Costa Rica.
